Imola has been a significant milestone in Alex’s career with his first podium in car racing.
The weekend started very well with a competitive qualifying session where Alex qualified 9th and 6th. A great outcome against so many fantastic teams.
Despite a bent front wing from an early contact in race 1, Alex went on to finish an excellent 8th.
In race 2 Alex started 3rd and made his way into second. Following a long safety card period he went on the attack to take first place with very little time left but was unable to make the move. Great first podium in car racing.
Start on grid 5 in race 3 Alex was able to race with the lead group and had a great battle with Zhou from Prema Power Team and ultimately finished 6th with only the two great teams, Mucke Motorsport and Prema Power, ahead.
